I'll never forget the career exploration class I was required to take in high school. By course end I chose a career in psychology as most suitable. Looking back now 20 years later, I was surprisingly accurate in my choice! What was critical about that experience was learning to place a premium on knowing myself, to be confident in how I was wired, and that there were professions that fit my personality and talent. This was incredibly motivating! It gave me extraordinary focus for the rest of high school, college and beyond--something not many of my friends had at the time.
I have two master's degrees--in Organizational Development from Northwestern University, and in Counseling Psychology from Trinity University. I have over 15 years of experience in coaching and training individuals and groups. For me there is nothing more rewarding than helping people find the right career fit. Having worked in key leadership positions with both Fortune 500 companies and non-profits, I have proven results in sourcing, vetting, and placing talent for various positions from senior leaders to the front line. In 2008 when I transitioned to organizational development work, an important part of my job was consulting with senior leaders in creation of their talent strategies which included workforce analysis and position design, developing a recruiting process (which included training them on hiring), and ensuring quality of hires. As a result, I have a distinct advantage in helping you be the candidate organizations are seeking. It is one of my greatest pleasures to coach you on your journey at whichever point you find yourself.

When I was in elementary school I had already determined my answer for “what do you want to be when you grow up?” It was a thoughtful plan--ballerina from 8am – 12pm, then a crossing guard from 12-1pm, then an advertising exec from 1-5pm. I remember feeling frustrated that I couldn’t fit in more careers throughout a given day. It's little wonder that my life’s journey led me to career counseling where I get to live vicariously through others as I coach so many from every career field you can imagine.
In the early part of my career I started out as a recruiter working with top employers to find right-fit candidates; and then shifted to work with clients finding the right employers. I have consulted with hundreds of companies on their hiring practices and I use that information strategically to help you get to the top of the pile!
I am also a mom of three and after taking some time to be at home with them, I have cultivated a passion for working with moms who have done the same. I know what it was like to go back into the workforce after a significant amount of time off. Even though job search strategies are a second nature for me, there are unique challenges that women face in similar circumstances. I love helping other moms find their confidence again and get out there and get the career that works for them.
